Armed Forces Chiefs of Operations Meeting
The Chief of Operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Major General Khaled Al-Ashoul, stressed the need to raise the level of vigilance and double efforts to deal with potential threats with strength, decisiveness, efficiency and competence, one day after the Minister of Defense hinted at the possibility of a return to war in light of the Houthi escalation and his rejection of peace options.
This came during a meeting held on Saturday with the heads of operations of the armed forces, to assess the level of readiness of the armed forces to perform their national duties, according to the media center of the armed forces.
The meeting stressed the need to raise the efficiency of human resources, training and qualification in all combat specialties, as well as developing qualitative military capabilities in line with the requirements of the ongoing battle with the terrorist Houthi group.
Major General Al-Ashoul listened to reports from the operations chiefs on combat readiness, the progress of implementing operational tasks, and the level of coordination and cooperation between all units.
For his part, the Director of the Operations Department, Brigadier General Dr. Yahya Al-Aizari, reviewed a brief report on the general military situation of the armed forces, the steadfastness and resilience of the members of the armed forces on the battle fronts, and the strengthening of coordination and integration mechanisms between forces and formations to confront the coup militias.
Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari had hinted in statements last Friday at the possibility of war returning, stressing that the armed forces are ready for all options and have complete strategic plans.
