Aden.. Transitional forces announce the arrest of two Houthi leaders involved in war crimes

The two Houthi leaders who were arrested by the Security Belt

The Security Belt Forces of the Transitional Council announced on Tuesday the arrest of two leaders of the terrorist Houthi militia, involved in war crimes, in the interim capital, Aden.

The Transitional Council media reported that the Security Belt Forces in Aden, led by Brigadier General Jalal Al-Rubaie, arrested the Houthi leaders "Abdul-Mumin Muhammad Ismail, who holds the rank of Brigadier General, and Abdul-Hakim Abdul-Mumin Muhammad Ismail."

She explained that the two Houthi leaders "preliminary investigations proved their involvement in war crimes, espionage, and child recruitment in areas under the control of the militia in Taiz Governorate."

She indicated, quoting an operational source, that the two Houthi leaders, the first was appointed by the Houthis as deputy governor of Taiz, which is under the control of the militia, and the second works as a supervisor affiliated with the Houthis.

The source confirmed that the investigations proved the involvement of the accused in their activities and terrorist work for the benefit of the Iranian-backed militia, enabling the militia to control strategic sites in the city of Taiz and mobilizing young people to fight with the Houthis.

The source explained that the first accused, Abdul-Momen Ismail, joined the Houthi militia in 2016, and admitted his connection to the so-called Sultan Al-Samai, a member of the so-called Supreme Political Council affiliated with the Houthis, in addition to prominent military leaders in the militia. He also has a card confirming that he holds the position of Vice President of the General Forum affiliated with the Houthis on the West Coast.

The file of the second accused, Abdul Hakim Ismail, stated that he works for the Houthi militia, and holds the rank of captain and deputy director of the morals protection department in the criminal investigation department in Taiz, Yemen, which is under Houthi control.

The accused were arrested by the Security Belt in the capital, Aden, based on a source information report confirming their activity and work for the terrorist Houthi militia. They were referred, along with the evidence collection reports and the seized items found in their possession, to the designated criminal prosecution office in Aden to complete the legal procedures against them.
