After years of suspension.. Yemeni-Jordanian talks to resume Jordan Airlines flights to Aden

Today, in the Authority’s building in the interim capital, Aden, the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Captain Saleh bin Nahid, discussed with a technical team from the Royal Jordanian Airlines the resumption of the company’s flights to Aden International Airport, after a halt that lasted for years.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Authority’s specialized managers and the company’s agent in Aden, Captain Bin Nahid stressed the Authority’s keenness to provide all facilities to Royal Jordanian Airlines in order to complete all necessary arrangements for operation.

According to Saba News Agency, Bin Nahid stressed the importance of enhancing joint cooperation between the Aviation Authority and the airlines operating in Yemeni airports in the liberated areas, to open the door to competition and service for travelers.

In this context, the Jordanian technical team visited Aden International Airport and met with the airport’s Director General, Abdul Raqeeb Al-Omari, and airport specialists, to inform them of the level of equipment and procedures followed in all airport departments.

The Director General of Aden Airport expressed his welcome and happiness at the resumption of Royal Jordanian Airlines flights to Aden Airport, looking forward to working closely with them to benefit from their distinguished expertise in air navigation in a way that enhances the airport’s capabilities.

He stressed the importance of the decision to resume Royal Jordanian flights to Aden Airport, as it will have a significant impact on enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries and serving passengers.
