Two children were injured by gunfire during clashes between Houthi elements and gunmen in the city of Ibb (central Yemen).
Local sources said that the two brothers, (Mohammed Nabil and Abdullah Nabil Tarish), were shot while on their way to their home in the central area in the Al-Mashna district in the old city of Ibb, yesterday, Wednesday.
The sources added that armed clashes broke out between Houthi elements in the Northern District Police Department (Al-Radmi) and gunmen from the Al-Samasar neighborhood in the old city, and stray bullets resulting from the clashes injured the two brothers.
The sources indicated that one of the brothers was seriously injured, while the other was moderately injured. They were transferred to Al-Thawra General Hospital for treatment.
Every now and then, armed clashes and Houthi militia fire cause civilian casualties in the governorate under the control of the militia, which is witnessing widespread security chaos.
