Former Shabwa Governor Mohammed Saleh Bin Adio said that the revolutions of September 26 and October 14 embodied the unity of the Yemeni struggle and illuminated the path of freedom and independence in the north and south of the country.

This came in a tweet he posted on his page on the "X" platform, coinciding with the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, which was launched from the Radfan Mountains.

Ben Adio stressed that the October 14, 1963 revolution constituted an important event in our national history, and, along with its twin, the September 26, 1962 revolution, gave impetus to the national struggle movement that culminated in independence on November 30, 1967.

He added, "The unity of position and goal of the revolutionaries throughout the Yemeni territory, north and south, had an important impact on the victory of the two revolutions."

He continued: "Aden rejoiced at the September victory, and the position of the republican ranks in confronting the remnants of the priesthood was strengthened by the outbreak of the October Revolution, and with the departure of the colonizer, the remnants of the monarchy fell.

He added: "As we celebrate the sixty-first anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, it is important to emphasize our need to draw inspiration from these values and meanings in our national battle... the battle to restore the state, which must be a unifying goal for all national forces.
