Ibb.. Houthi gunmen attack medical students inside the General Revolution Hospital

Houthi gunmen brutally assaulted a number of medical students at Ibb University (central Yemen), inside the premises of the Al-Thawra General Hospital in the governorate.

Informed sources said that a number of Houthi militia gunmen in the General Revolution Hospital Authority brutally assaulted (Saturday) fifth-year students from the Faculty of Medicine at Ibb University, while they were inside the authority for practical application.

The sources explained that the incident occurred when a student advised a Houthi guard at the hospital to turn off the Zamel, which he was listening to loudly, which disturbed the patients and visitors. The Houthi gunman then got into a verbal altercation with him, which developed into a fistfight.

The sources added that the Houthi element summoned five other elements and they stormed the hospital and brutally beat the students in front of the patients and employees with sticks and rifle butts, which resulted in the breaking of one of the students' hand.

The sources indicated that the hospital's administration and security did not take any action against the Houthi elements who had previously assaulted employees and patients in previous incidents.
