The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, Professor Khaled Al-Wasabi, directed the cancellation of the results of students nominated for (technical education) scholarships provided by the State of Algeria for the year 2024-2025 AD.
The ministry said - via its Facebook page - that the minister formed a committee to re-sort the files of applicants for the scholarships, headed by the Deputy Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, in order to ensure fair representation of all governorates and regions of the republic, and a diverse presence of interested students from different parts of the country.
Two days ago, the Ministry announced the results of the competition for scholarships for graduates of vocational high schools from government vocational institutes provided by the Algerian Republic, and attached a list of the names of 15 students.
She also called on all students who applied for the competition and were not lucky and wish to submit their grievances to the General Administration of Rehabilitation and Training at the General Diwan no later than Monday the 16th.
The announced results were met with widespread objection and criticism because most of the accepted students were from Sana'a Governorate. According to the announcement, nine study seats went to students from Sana'a while the remaining seats were distributed between Ma'rib and Hadramaut Governorates.
