The leader of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party, Ali Al-Jaradi, said that the September 26 Revolution does not mean for Yemenis salvation from a priestly rule described as ignorant, poor and sick, but rather “it means for Yemenis salvation from a racist rule that claimed religious guardianship, and the right to rule, knowledge and understanding on behalf of the people.”

Al-Jaradi, who is the head of the media department of the Islah Party, confirmed in a post on his social media page that “the September 26 Revolution liberated the people from the yoke of slavery and the priests who claim to be their guardians.”

He added: "What the post-September generations did not know about the catastrophe of the priesthood; Al-Houthi came with his contemporary version to tell the Yemenis in word and deed, this is the behavior of the priests since they set foot on the land of Yemen and these are their actions."

He continued: The Houthi behavior is "an approach that sees the lineage as sacred, and the Yemenis as subjects to serve them, and a behavior that embodies impoverishment and plunder, and an Iranian connection that has added an attempt to distort the identity and culture of the Yemeni people, their pride and dignity, and to transform them into a follower of the lineage in its Iranian version and the Persian guardianship of the jurist."

Ali Al-Jaradi stressed that "the Yemeni, the owner of the land, the inheritor of glory, and the descendant of a civilization, rejected your priesthood yesterday, and will repeat the same thing tomorrow by getting rid of the Houthis in their Persian guise."
