On Saturday evening, the Houthi militia kidnapped an academic at Hodeidah University, due to his writing posts on social media about the glorious September 26 Revolution.

Local sources reported that the Houthi militia raided the home of Dr. Abbas Al-Harazi, a faculty member at Hodeidah University, and kidnapped him and took him to an unknown location.

The sources explained that the reason for Dr. Al-Harazi’s kidnapping was due to “writing a post about the September 26 holiday in a WhatsApp group.”

It is noteworthy that Dr. Al-Harazi works as a professor of English language at the College of Education, Hodeidah University. He is in his sixties and suffers from several chronic diseases.

This comes in light of the militia's kidnapping of dozens of citizens in a number of governorates under its control, due to their writings about September 26.
