The Houthi militia issued a series of decisions to change all state institutions, the nature of their activities and their organization in the latest separatist decision in the areas under its control.
According to the Houthi Saba News Agency, the Houthi militia appointed Abdul-Momen Shuja' al-Din as head of the Supreme Judicial Council from outside the judiciary, and Alawi Sahl Aqil as a member of the Judicial Council from outside the council. The latter is one of the most important Houthi elements who lived in Taiz before the fall of Sana'a.
The militia, through Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of its Supreme Political Council, issued decisions to change the objectives, tasks, general competencies, and main organizational divisions of the Ministries of Local Administration, Youth and Sports, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Culture and Tourism, Education, Scientific Research and Media, Agriculture and Fisheries, Social Affairs and Labor.
Changing the eight ministries out of 20 in the Houthi authority, which no one recognizes, is the latest Houthi attempt to separate the Yemeni people and their state institutions from the republican system and rebuild it in a way that serves the survival of the militia and the Iranian occupation.
The Houthi militia refuses to disclose the decisions it issues and the new developments that have arisen, and merely says that they are published in the Official Gazette. The militia has not issued the Official Gazette for several years.
It is noteworthy that the appointment decisions to the Supreme Judicial Council came two days after the Houthi parliament approved amendments to the Judicial Authority Law that allow the militia to appoint judges from outside the scope of the judiciary.
