A 14-year-old boy drowned in a water barrier in one of the towns of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).
Local sources said that the child, Abdullah Ali Yahya Al-Ghoul, drowned in the Al-Dhabari area, affiliated with the Jablah Directorate, west of the city of Ibb.
The sources indicated that the incident occurred while "Al-Ghoul" was swimming in the water barrier.
Every rainy season, Ibb Governorate witnesses tragic drowning incidents in dams, barriers and water ponds, which claim the lives of dozens annually.
