Taiz.. An artistic and rhetorical festival celebrating the 61st anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution

On Sunday evening, the city of Taiz witnessed a massive artistic and rhetorical festival and ceremony, celebrating the sixty-first anniversary of the October 14 Revolution against the British occupation of southern Yemen.

A correspondent for "Yemeni Youth Net" said that hundreds of citizens gathered on Sunday evening at the ceremony held in Bab Al-Kabeer in the center of Taiz city.

He added that during the festival, fireworks were launched from the Cairo Citadel and from the celebration site at Bab al-Kabir, which mixed with the crowds' chants of "With our souls and blood we will redeem you, Yemen."

The festival also witnessed a number of lyrical segments and recipes expressing the greatness of the October 14 Revolution that started in the Radfan Mountains against British colonialism.

Participants in the celebration pointed out the greatness of the goals of the revolutions of September 26, 1962, against the Imamate in northern Yemen, and October 14, 1963, against the British occupation in the south of the country.
