The Houthi militia imposed a new price dose on the housing of Sanaa University students, at a time when the number of students enrolled in the university is declining as a result of the difficult living conditions that parents suffer in areas under Houthi control.

Student sources at Sana'a University and a document obtained by "Yemen Shabab Net" said that the Houthi militia raised the price of university student housing at Sana'a University from 8,500 riyals to 30,000 riyals per student.

The document indicates that receipt documents from Sana'a University this July confirmed that university housing fees amounted to 30 thousand riyals in the old version.

The students accused the president of Sana'a University, appointed by the Houthis, of collecting money from students for her personal benefit, at a time when Sana'a University had turned into a private university with huge funds.
