The terrorist Houthi militia excluded professors of Islamic thought from teaching Islamic culture courses at the universities of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen), and assigned the task of teaching to students at those universities who are loyal to it.

Academic sources said that the Houthi supervisor in Ibb Governorate, who was appointed as the governorate’s deputy for leadership education affairs, Abdul Fattah Ghallab, directed the governorate’s public and private universities to exclude Islamic thought professors from teaching the Islamic culture course and assign it to students from the Houthi entity called the “Student Forum.”

The sources added that the Houthi decision was met with protests from universities and academics, but the Houthi leader continued to implement his directives, which are part of the militia's efforts to influence university students and fill their minds with sectarian and extremist ideas that incite violence and terrorism.

It is noteworthy that the Houthi leader had previously appointed himself as a teacher of Islamic culture at Ibb University, and assigned the task of teaching the course to an element accused of extremism and terrorism, called "Maimoun Fayrouz."

The Houthi coup militias turned Ibb University and the private universities that they seized through the so-called "judicial guardian" into incubators for spreading their sectarian ideas and imposed many of their followers as lecturers and faculty members.
