Farmers demonstrate in Sanaa

Hundreds of farmers from the Bani Al-Harith District organized a protest demonstration. To denounce the Houthi militia’s decision to prevent the entry of their crops into the capital, Sana’a.

The demonstration, organized by farmers from the Bani Al-Harith tribe, on Sunday, in Al-Sabeen Square in Sanaa, came after another demonstration in front of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in protest against the Houthis’ decisions that prevent the marketing of their agricultural crops and confiscate their cars and the agricultural crops they carry.

The protesters raised banners demanding that the Ministry of Agriculture, which is under the control of the militia, cancel the unjust decision.

They accused the Houthis of fabricating charges against farmers for watering their crops with wastewater, noting that it aims to monopolize the local market. Demanding the cancellation of the arbitrary decision that will harm them.

The Houthi militia seeks to destroy the agricultural sector with the aim of controlling this sector by Houthi leaders by building dynastic agricultural entities and associations.
