The Houthi militia continues to impound dozens of trucks loaded with local cement coming from Hadhramaut at the entrance to Al-Jawf Governorate, northeastern Yemen.

Commercial sources and those working in the transportation sector said that the Houthi militia continues to impose a severe ban on local Hadhramaut cement for the second month in a row without explaining the reasons.

According to the sources, the militia has continued for five weeks to ban the entry of Hadhramaut cement into Al-Jawf Governorate, and from there to the areas under its control.

The sources confirmed that dozens of merchants and transporters are suffering heavy losses as a result of their trucks being detained in Al-Jawf Governorate at the Houthi customs in the Al-Hazm area, the center of the governorate.

The Houthi militia imposes a severe siege on national products manufactured in government areas, and replaces them with products imported through merchants loyal to it, as part of its economic war against the legitimate government.
