The Houthi control plan on the lands of Sanaa University

A new document showed a Houthi directive issued by Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of the so-called Houthi Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, to control lands belonging to Sanaa University for the benefit of figures loyal to them.

The decision of the Houthi leader Al-Mashat, according to the document, stipulated the delivery of 10,000 bricks from the land of Sana’a University to an unknown person called “Abdo Ali Hadi” to build a medical city on the university’s land.

The document is addressed to the Real Estate Authority in Sanaa, and was issued on May 26, 2024, without any justification, other than a proposal submitted by the person who will own the land, called Abdo Ali Hadi.

According to the document, Al-Mashat directed that another forty thousand bricks in Bani Matar be delivered to the same person and owned by the same person to be sold, according to Al-Mashat, to investors.

Al-Mashat himself had ordered years ago that Sanaa University hand over thousands of real estate buildings and several buildings from Sanaa University to the Houthi Endowments Authority as part of a Houthi plan to tear up and destroy Sanaa University.
