Military report: Houthi militias killed and injured more than 24,000 civilians in Taiz since 2015

A report issued by the Moral Guidance Division of the Taiz Military Axis Command revealed that more than 24,000 civilians were killed and wounded by the fire, shelling and mines of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias in Taiz Governorate since 2015.

According to the statistics issued by the division, these crimes were committed by the Houthi militias against civilians during 3,300 days, during the period from March 21, 2015 until the middle of the current year 2024.

She pointed out that the Houthi militias committed thousands of crimes during the period by targeting civilians with random shelling and sniping, resulting in the martyrdom of 4,146 civilians, including 891 children and 466 women, and the wounding of 18,065 others, including 2,176 children and 2,669 women.

During the period, mines and explosive devices planted randomly by the Houthi militias in residential areas and neighborhoods and on the roads resulted in the martyrdom of 781 civilians, including 38 children and 23 women, in addition to wounding 1,308 civilians, including 76 children and 30 women.

In terms of kidnappings, disappearances and forced displacement, the report indicated that the Houthi militias committed 6,024 violations during the period, distributed as follows: kidnapping 504 civilians, 175 cases of enforced disappearance, and 899 cases of arbitrary detention, in addition to committing violations in this regard that caused 102 deaths and disabilities.

He pointed out that the Houthi militias committed 108 violations and attacks on civilians, noting that the militias forcibly displaced 4,269 families.

He confirmed that the Houthi militias destroyed 617 public facilities and properties, distributed between the bombing of 11 public facilities, the destruction of 87 public facilities, total damage to 62 public facilities, and 379 partial damages, as well as damage to 27 public vehicles, in addition to storming and looting 31 facilities.

The militias also destroyed 3,617 private facilities and properties, including blowing up 169 private facilities, destroying 224 facilities, causing total damage to 353 private buildings and facilities, partial damage to 2,020 private facilities and buildings, and 623 private vehicles, in addition to storming and looting 53 private buildings and facilities.
