Two young men were seriously injured after being shot by a gunman in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).
Local sources said yesterday evening that a gunman shot two young men from the village of Al-Mahdada in Wadi Al-Janat in the Ibb countryside, north of the governorate center, and fled.
The sources added that the two young men (Malik Al-Amsi) and the son of Muhammad Al-Zaqim were seriously injured in the incident and were transferred to the hospital and underwent surgery.
The motives behind the incident, which comes amidst the widespread security chaos in the governorate under the control of the Houthi coup militia, and the escalation of crimes due to local conflicts and land disputes, were not immediately known.
