On Saturday, the Houthi militia kidnapped a young Yemeni man working for an international organization in the capital, Sanaa, which is under its control.

According to media sources, the Houthi militia kidnapped the young man, Abdullah Al-Baydani, who works as an IT officer at the World Food Program (WFP), affiliated with the United Nations.

The militia did not issue any clarification about the reason for this kidnapping, nor did the United Nations.

This comes in light of the campaigns it is waging against workers in organizations, as it has kidnapped more than 40 employees from a number of international organizations in Sana'a during the past two months, including women.

Despite repeated UN appeals to the militia to release them quickly, they continued their kidnapping campaign amid accusations of espionage and other matters.
