The director of the Modern Pharmaceutical Company and the International Pharmaceutical Company in Aden, Walid Al-Shatfa, asked the Customs Authority to seize and hold the raw materials and not allow them to be delivered to Sana’a, which is under the control of the terrorist Houthi militias supported by Iran.

Al-Shafta sent a memorandum to the head of the Customs Authority in the interim capital, Aden, requesting that all customs outlets be directed to seize and retain the raw materials, auxiliary materials, and packaging materials belonging to the Modern Pharmaceutical Company and the International Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company, and not to allow their release and delivery to Sana’a.

The memorandum confirmed that approval for release can only be obtained through its main headquarters in Aden Governorate only, as the main center and factory have been moved to Aden Governorate.

The terrorist Houthi militias had seized the headquarters of the two companies in Sana'a, and imposed the so-called judicial guardian, Saleh Dabish, who was appointed as the director of the two companies.

Later, the legal department of the two companies in the interim capital, Aden, adopted new seal models, while the Central Bank of Yemen in the interim capital, Aden, issued a circular confirming that any financial and banking transactions should only be conducted with the legal department authorized for that purpose, represented by the General Manager, Walid Muhammad Saeed Al-Shatfa, and the Financial Manager, Anwar Hamid Abdul Salam.
