Heavy rain in Sana'a

Two girls died on Saturday evening in Sana'a after drowning in a dirt pit that was filled with rainwater in front of their house, located east of the capital.

Local sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that the two girls, "Zainab Jarallah" and "Jahina Margham", died when they fell into a large hole where rainwater had collected, in the Bani Hashish area, east of Sana'a.

According to sources, the two girls were playing in front of their house on the edge of the hole, and the surrounding soil slid with them to the bottom of the hole, and they were found dead.

This comes one day after the death of two children who were swept away by torrential rains in the Sana'a stream after they tried to swim in it, but the heavy torrent swept them away, and the citizens were unable to save them.

According to sources, the body of a child was recovered, while the search for the body of the second child has been ongoing since yesterday, but has not been found until this news was written.

The torrential rains that have hit Sana'a and other Yemeni cities have caused human and material damages that have varied from one governorate to another due to the heavy rainfall that has been falling for days.
