The Houthi militia released journalist Mohammed Al-Sahbani after 12 days of kidnapping in its prisons in areas under its control in Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen), on the occasion of the celebrations of the glorious September Revolution.

Yesterday evening, journalist Al-Sahbani wrote a post on his page confirming his release from the “Saleh Detention Center” in the city of Al-Hawban, east of Taiz.

The released journalist said, “Thanks be to God, and thanks to the solidarity of my comrades and colleagues, I was released this evening from Al-Saleh Prison, after spending 12 days in detention there with a large group of people from Khadir District, Taiz, including 6 days in the district’s prison, against the backdrop of the celebrations of the September 26 Revolution.”

During the last few weeks, the Houthi militia launched a frenzied kidnapping campaign, targeting hundreds in areas under its control, including four journalists (Mohammed Al-Mayahy, Abdo Masoud Al-Madani, Fouad Al-Nahari, and Mohammed Al-Sahbani), on the occasion of the celebrations of the anniversary of the September Revolution.
