The terrorist Houthi militia launched a kidnapping campaign in Al-Saddah District, east of Ibb (central Yemen), as part of a broad campaign targeting activists and organizers of celebrations marking the glorious September 26 Revolution.

Local sources said that the terrorist Houthi militia, led by Ali Al-Washli, who was appointed by the Houthis as the security director of Al-Saddah District, kidnapped 11 people from the district yesterday, Tuesday, on charges of arranging and preparing to hold a celebration on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the glorious September 26 Revolution, which will be held at the end of this month.

The sources added that among the kidnapped were vendors in the area's market, including a vendor in Basbas called "Ali Al-Majzoub."

A few days ago, the militia kidnapped four people from the village of Al-Masqaya in the same district, under the pretext of preparing for the revolution event that the residents used to hold every year in the hometown of one of the most prominent leaders of the September Revolution, the martyr Ali Abdul-Mughni.

It is noteworthy that the terrorist Houthi militia preempted the revolution celebrations this year with a campaign of kidnappings against activists in the city of Ibb. It also summoned some and contacted others and threatened them with imprisonment if they participated in the September Revolution celebrations. It also issued directives to prevent holding any celebratory events for the great national occasion in the governorate’s schools.

This comes at a time when the city of Ibb and the rest of the governorate's directorates are preparing for large celebrations for the occasion, as citizens have begun raising national flags on the facades of their shops and homes, while celebratory demonstrations continue on various social media sites.
