Asteroid ON 2024
NASA says it has spotted asteroid 2024 ON , a massive object measuring 1,150 feet long and 590 feet wide, moving at 20,000 miles per hour.
According to the agency, the asteroid passed within 621,000 miles of Earth on Tuesday morning, close enough to be considered "potentially hazardous" - although there is no risk of collision.
Experts say such asteroids come this close to us every 5 to 10 years.
The last major impact was in Russia in 2013.
Asteroid 2024 ON is one of five asteroids to pass close to Earth this week.
