Watch.. The extent of Israeli destruction of homes in northern Gaza and its documentation by the occupation

Israel has been pursuing a policy of systematic destruction of buildings and residential areas since the beginning of its war on the Gaza Strip, especially in its northern areas, which are currently witnessing a humanitarian tragedy.

Al Jazeera obtained images taken from an Israeli drone that the Palestinian resistance succeeded in shooting down several days ago, showing the Israeli occupation forces blowing up buildings in the Al-Tawam area, northwest of Gaza.

According to a report broadcast by Al Jazeera, the government office in Gaza estimates that the Israeli occupation forces have blown up hundreds of homes and residential blocks in a period of no more than two weeks, especially in the areas of Jabalia (northern Gaza Strip), Bir al-Na’ja, al-Atatra, and al-Saftawi, in addition to al-Tuwam.

This happened alongside the continuation of horrific massacres and targeting of civilians, and with the systematic targeting of the health sector and putting all its hospitals out of service.

The Israeli occupation aims to destroy the urban mass in the northern Gaza Strip, empty it of its people, and turn the Strip into an area unfit for living, as part of what has become known as the “Generals’ Plan” that Israel put in place last September.

The "generals' plan" aims to forcibly displace the people of Gaza and turn the Strip into a closed military zone, as the last solution to completely eliminate any presence of Palestinian resistance.

The occupation is implementing the "generals' plan" after the success of the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - in the past few days in carrying out several well-planned ambushes against Israeli forces and directing painful blows at them in areas that they had previously invaded more than once.

In order to achieve its goal, Israel uses the most violent and brutal methods, including the use of bombs and barrels containing nearly a ton of highly explosive materials, which cause massive destruction in the region and level all of its buildings to the ground.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, prepared by journalist Ahmed Jarar, the policy of systematic destruction in northern Gaza is not an exceptional matter in Israel’s practices, as its violent raids have left behind complete or partial destruction in approximately 169,000 buildings in the entire Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war.
