The Israeli occupation army separated the northern Gaza Strip from Gaza City by deploying vehicles and providing cover from drones, amid a severe humanitarian deterioration, while the occupation forces continue to prevent food for 12 days.

Osama Hamdan, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that the Israeli occupation is committing genocide in the northern Gaza Strip, noting that the occupation forces have been preventing the entry of food supplies into the area for 12 days.

Hamdan added, during an intervention with Al Jazeera, that the occupation aims to kill more than 150 thousand Palestinians besieged in the Jabalia camp area, north of the Strip, through the military operation it is carrying out and preventing the arrival of any water or food supplies.

Hamdan explained that the occupation imposed a severe siege on Jabalia camp, where it cut off water and destroyed its wells, forcing residents to drink water mixed with sewage water. He pointed out that the occupation forces are trying to pressure the camp residents to leave, but the resistance is confronting them fiercely.

The Hamas leader revealed the occupation's methods of targeting civilians, as it brings booby-trapped troop carriers into the camp and detonates them in residential areas, which led to the destruction of many buildings. He also pointed out the bombing of the Yemen Al-Saeed Hospital in the area to prevent the rescue of the wounded.

Hamdan confirmed that the occupation's decision is to besiege the camp for a long period of time with the aim of exhausting the residents with hunger, thirst and continuous shelling. He added that the occupation is planning to ask the residents to leave without the fighters, as quadcopters will receive them and shoot at whoever they think represents a danger, describing these practices as a crime against humanity.

The Hamas leader stressed that the occupation is not only targeting the resistance, but wants to oppress the entire Palestinian people. He pointed to the Israeli "generals' plan" that relies on an American philosophy that allows starving the "enemy" to death, considering that this expresses the occupation's inability to confront the resistance.

4 Pathways to Addressing Displacement

Hamdan presented four basic tracks for the Palestinian strategy to confront the displacement project, including supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, the resistance’s efforts to repel military operations, international political action, and arranging the internal Palestinian house.

The Hamas leader stressed the importance of a unified national effort to confront the occupation's plans. He also revealed ongoing meetings in Cairo between a delegation from the Hamas leadership and another from the Fatah movement to arrange for an expanded national meeting.

Hamdan explained that these meetings aim to address the issue of Palestinian reconciliation and put the internal Palestinian house in order on the basis of restoring the national project.

Regarding the "day after" the war, Hamdan stressed that Hamas rejects any external guardianship and seeks to form a transitional national administration for the entire Palestinian situation. He added that this administration will be responsible for reconstruction, addressing the effects of the aggression, and preparing for general Palestinian elections.

Hamdan warned that the repercussions of the occupation's continued crimes would be greater than he could comprehend, hinting at the possibility of a sudden Palestinian reaction as a result of this American-backed Israeli behavior.

Hamdan said that the Palestinian people have proven their commitment to their rights and their willingness to sacrifice for them. He stressed that the battle revealed the truth about the Zionist entity and the flaws of the international system. He also stressed that resistance is the real and authentic option for the Palestinian people to regain their rights.

North Gaza Strip

The Israeli occupation army separated the northern Gaza Strip from Gaza City by deploying vehicles and providing cover from drones, amid a severe humanitarian deterioration, according to Al Jazeera.

The sources explained that the occupation army is placing earthen barriers on the main streets between Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, and that the occupation has blown up dozens of homes in Jabalia camp with explosive robots.

The sources confirmed that the Israeli operation continues for the eighth day in the northern Gaza Strip, adding that the occupation forces are sending reinforcements.

She pointed out that the occupation army is isolating tens of thousands of families remaining in the Jabalia and northern Gaza Strip areas, stressing that the occupation forces did not allow food aid to enter for the residents of northern Gaza Strip, which threatens a new famine.

The sources spoke about a large number of bodies that were not recovered from the northern areas of the Gaza Strip due to targeting medical crews and ambulances.

Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces are blowing up several buildings around the communications junction in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

New genocide

In this context, the Government Media Office in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation army is reinforcing the practice of genocide in Jabalia and the northern Gaza Strip governorate.

The office stressed that "the occupation army seeks to turn the northern Gaza Strip into a devastated area as part of a plan to displace our people."

The office confirmed that the occupation army is committing massacres against humanity and practicing deliberate killing by deliberately bombing displacement and shelter centers and gatherings of children and women.

The Government Media Office accused the occupation army of working to destroy the health system by putting hospitals in northern Gaza out of service, noting that the Israeli occupation army is preventing ambulance and civil defense crews from retrieving more than 75 martyrs.

In this context, a joint statement by the Palestinian factions said, "The war of extermination against the people of northern Gaza is clear terrorism practiced by the Israeli occupation."

The statement stressed that the war of extermination in the northern Gaza Strip aims to take revenge on those who refused to leave, and to pave the way for implementing the displacement plan.

Catastrophic situation in northern Gaza

For his part, the Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir Al-Barsh, appealed to international organizations to protect medical teams in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Barash described the situation in the hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip as "catastrophic," noting that the occupation has closed all primary care centers, and that there are entire families under siege who cannot find water, food, or medicine.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, he praised the medical staff’s rejection of the occupation’s decision to evacuate the hospitals.

In a related context, Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, said that the limited quantities of fuel that entered the three main hospitals in the northern governorate on Saturday are only enough for a few days, in light of the ground attack, complete siege, and genocide that the governorate is being subjected to for the seventh consecutive day.

He added that the three main hospitals in the Northern Governorate are still under severe pressure due to the arrival of casualties and martyrs around the clock, despite the entry of limited quantities of fuel on Saturday.

Abu Safiya explained that northern Gaza received about 20 thousand liters of fuel. He indicated that this amount is barely enough to operate Kamal Adwan Hospital for at least 10 days, and does not meet the needs of the other two hospitals for 5 days.

The entry of these limited quantities of fuel into the north comes after more than 5 attempts during which the Israeli army prevented trucks from reaching the besieged governorate.

On Thursday, the government media office in Gaza warned of the cessation of medical services in the north due to the depletion of fuel and the prevention of its arrival to the north.

In addition, ambulances of the Ministry of Health, Medical Services and Civil Defense are under severe pressure due to the worsening conditions on the ground, coinciding with the Israeli ground attack on the governorate and amidst the depletion of fuel, according to the media office.

For the seventh consecutive day, the Israeli army has launched a ground attack and a complete siege on the northern Gaza Strip, concentrated in the areas of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia and Jabalia camp, in an attempt to empty those areas of their residents.

On October 6, the Israeli army announced the start of a ground military operation in Jabalia under the pretext of preventing the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) from regaining its strength in the area, hours after the start of a fierce attack on the eastern and western areas of the northern Gaza Strip, including Jabalia, which was the most violent since last May.

With broad American support, the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza for a year has left more than 140,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and elderly people.

Tel Aviv continues its massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end them immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
