Hamas confirmed on Monday that it will continue its resistance and will not compromise on the Palestinian people's right to establish their independent state without siege, threat, bombardment or guardianship.

This came in a statement published by Hamas on its official website on the occasion of the first anniversary of the "Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa" and the subsequent Israeli war of extermination that has been ongoing since October 7, 2023 against the Gaza Strip with American support and bias.

The movement said: “Since October 7 of last year, and for a whole year, this Nazi enemy has committed and continues to commit the most heinous crimes and massacres, and has waged against our people the most horrific war of genocide witnessed in contemporary history.”

She stressed that "the cowardly assassination crimes carried out by the fascist occupation against the leaders, symbols and cadres of the resistance forces inside and outside Palestine, and against the resistance leaders on the support fronts, will only increase our strength, steadfastness and determination to confront the occupation and its aggressive plans, until it is defeated and eliminated."

Hamas stressed that it "has made and continues to make great efforts to stop the aggression, and has responded positively to all initiatives, while firmly adhering to a permanent cessation of aggression and complete withdrawal, and to the rights, constants and aspirations of the Palestinian people."

It held "the US administration, a partner in this aggression, fully responsible for the continuation of these crimes and genocide," and called on it "to stop its policy of bias and support for the occupation, and to work immediately to stop this brutal genocide."

Hamas considered that "the Zionist enemy's expansion of its circle of aggression to include Arab and Islamic countries, in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Iran, proves once again that it poses a real threat to the security and stability of the region, and to regional and international peace and security."

It renewed the call to Arab and Islamic countries "to take urgent steps to stop the ongoing aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people, and to implement the decisions of the joint Arab and Islamic summit held in Riyadh on November 11, 2023."

It also called on it to "take serious action to break the siege, bring aid and relief to the Gaza Strip, and sever all forms of political, diplomatic and economic relations with the Zionist entity."

She expressed appreciation and thanks to South Africa "for filing a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice against the Zionist occupation for committing the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, and to all the countries that joined it in this lawsuit."

Hamas concluded its statement by stressing that "there is no compromise on our people's legitimate right to resist the occupation by all means, in order to establish our free and independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and to live a free and dignified life, without siege, bombing, threats or guardianship, like the rest of the peoples of the world."

She pledged to continue the resistance in the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa, to confront the aggression and thwart its aggressive plans.

Monday marks the first anniversary of Israel's launch, with American support, of a genocidal war in Gaza, which has so far resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, and more than 10,000 missing persons, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and elderly people.

Tel Aviv continues its war of extermination, ignoring the UN Security Council's decision to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice's orders to take measures to prevent acts of "genocide" and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
