The Israeli occupation army besieges 3 hospitals and demands their evacuation in northern Gaza

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said on Tuesday evening that the Israeli army had asked three hospitals in the northern governorate to evacuate patients and medical staff.

The ministry added in a statement: "The occupation demands that Kamal Adwan, Indonesian and Al-Awda hospitals evacuate patients and health personnel."

The statement said that the Israeli army threatened the three hospitals with “destruction, killing and arrest” if they did not evacuate, similar to what happened at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

He explained that the Israeli army arrested "a paramedic who accompanied one of the intensive care cases when she was transferred from Kaman Adwan Hospital, despite prior coordination."

He pointed out that the army is besieging Kamal Adwan Hospital and firing at its administration office.

The ministry warned that the besieged Kamal Adwan Hospital would stop working within hours due to a fuel shortage.

The Ministry of Health called for “the need to provide serious protection to health institutions and their staff, especially in the northern Gaza Strip.”

In turn, Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, said in an audio recording he sent to journalists, “The Israeli army gave them 24 hours to completely empty the hospital of patients and medical staff.”

He continued: “The army communicated directly and said in a threatening tone that we must evacuate the hospital of patients and staff, or we will put ourselves in danger.”

Abu Safiya described this measure as dangerous, as it threatens the “collapse of the health system in the northern Gaza Strip.”

He expressed his fears of a new plan to displace the people of northern Gaza by putting the health system here out of service.

On Sunday, the Israeli army announced the start of a military operation in Jabalia, under the pretext of “preventing Hamas from regaining its strength in the area,” hours after the start of a fierce attack on the eastern and western regions of the northern Gaza Strip, the most violent since last May.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli ground military vehicles reached areas northwest of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army warned Palestinians to evacuate their homes in the town and camp of Jabalia and head south via a “safe passage,” while the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza warned citizens against responding to this, considering it “deception and lies.”

With American support, the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people.

Tel Aviv continues the genocide, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
