The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that it was able to lure an engineering force of the occupation into a tight ambush west of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades indicated that its fighters monitored the arrival of a tank, an armored personnel carrier, and two D9 bulldozers loaded with cubes of highly destructive explosive materials to the ambush site.

Qassam fighters targeted the first bulldozer with a "Yassin 105" shell and the second bulldozer with a "Shawaz" explosive device, which led to the explosion of the vehicles and explosive cubes in the advancing convoy, destroying it and killing and wounding the crews of the Israeli vehicles.

This comes at a time when the Israeli army announced that 123 soldiers were injured on the Lebanese and Gaza fronts since Saturday evening, including 18 soldiers who were injured on the Gaza front, bringing the number of injured since the beginning of the war in Gaza and Lebanon in October 2023 to 5,018 soldiers.

Yesterday, Sunday, the Israeli occupation army announced the killing of the commander of the 401st Brigade, Colonel Ihsan Daqsa, and the serious injury of another officer in battles in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Army Radio said that Colonel Daqsa was accompanied by 3 other officers in two tanks inside Jabalia in the battle zone, adding that he and the officers left the tanks for a distance of 20 meters, and while they were moving, an explosive device was detonated around them.

The radio added that the incident killed Colonel Daqsa and injured 3 officers, including the deputy commander of the 162nd Division and the commander of the 52nd Battalion, noting that Colonel Daqsa was among 4 colonels killed since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced yesterday, Sunday, that its fighters had sniped two Israeli soldiers and directly hit them in the Jabalia camp, north of Gaza, in addition to targeting a D9 military bulldozer with a “Yassin 105” shell in the Al-Faluja area, west of the Jabalia camp.

Al-Qassam also announced that it targeted two "Nimr" troop carriers with "tandem" and "Shawaz" shells west of Jabalia camp. It said that it targeted an Israeli "Merkava" tank with a "Yassin 105" shell west of Jabalia camp, and targeted a "Nimr" troop carrier with a "tandem" shell near the Saftawi junction.

With broad American support, Israel has been waging a war of extermination on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in more than 142,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded - most of them children and women - and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
