Yemen.. Al-Aqsa Society calls for urgent international action to stop Israeli attacks against civilians and medical facilities in Gaza

Al-Aqsa Association in the Republic of Yemen condemned, on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of “Al-Yaman Al-Saeed Hospital” in the middle of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, which has been under siege and bombardment for four days.

The association said in a statement, a copy of which was received by "Yemeni Youth Net", that the occupation forces committed a horrific massacre by targeting the tents of the displaced in the hospital yard, which led to the martyrdom of more than 17 displaced people, noting that the hospital had been bombed earlier in December 2023, which led to its burning and the destruction of large parts of it.

Al-Aqsa Society considered this bombing targeting hospitals, health centers and displacement centers as nothing but a dangerous escalation by the Israeli occupation forces and a war crime according to international and humanitarian law, and its perpetrator must be punished.

The statement called on international organizations and bodies to assume their moral responsibility to condemn the Israeli occupation and stop the crimes of genocide committed by its forces, stressing the strong rejection and condemnation of this act, which contradicts all human and moral values, and the rules of international humanitarian law, especially the Fourth Geneva Convention on the rules of war.

The head of the association called for "urgent international action" to end the Israeli attacks against civilians and medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, and to protect hospitals, medical supplies and civilians inside medical centers in Gaza, stressing that shooting at patients and civilians trying to flee is a dangerous matter and a crime that must end.

The association had started working on the hospital construction project in 2010 and handed it over to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in 2020. It confirmed in its statement that this criminal act would not deter it from rebuilding the hospital with the support of charitable people from Yemen.

The Center held the Israeli occupation, the American administration, and all countries participating in the genocide against the Palestinian people fully responsible for the continuation of these crimes for a whole year without working to stop them.

The international community and all international and UN organizations have also warned that the "Israeli" occupation army is practicing the crime of ethnic cleansing against our Palestinian people, and we demand that they all immediately and quickly stop these crimes against humanity, and we demand that they prosecute the "Israeli" war criminals in international courts in preparation for their trial and bringing them to justice for their ongoing crimes.

On Sunday, the Israeli army announced the start of a ground military operation in Jabalia under the pretext of "preventing Hamas from regaining its strength in the area," hours after the start of a fierce attack on the eastern and western areas of the northern Gaza Strip, including Jabalia, which is the most violent since last May.
