At least 12 Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured when the occupation forces stormed several cities and towns in the northern West Bank. Dozens were arrested and some of them were deported to Israel.

The occupation army began - since dawn on Wednesday - a large military operation in Jenin, Tubas, Tulkarm and other cities in the West Bank, which it said was the largest operation in the West Bank since 2002.

According to Channel 12 Israel, 4 Border Guard battalions participated in this operation. The occupation deployed helicopters, fighter jets and drones to provide cover for the ground forces during its operation, during which it imposed a complete siege on the cities of Jenin, Tubas and Tulkarm.

The occupation army said that its operations in the West Bank target militants and terrorist infrastructure, it claimed.

In Jenin, the largest city in the occupied West Bank, the occupation forces bombed a car between the villages of Seir and Al-Masila, killing three citizens, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Clashes also broke out between resistance fighters and the occupation army in Jenin and the town of Silat al-Harithiya to the south, after which the Israeli army began sending military reinforcements towards the city and the camp, amid heavy reconnaissance aircraft flights.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) also reported that a citizen was killed by the occupation forces’ bullets in the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin. The occupation forces stormed the town and arrested two young men, while they injured a boy with live bullets and a girl with shrapnel, according to WAFA.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that 4 citizens were injured by the occupation's bullets in Jenin camp, and another was injured in Al-Yamoun, Jenin district, while the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - mourned 3 of its fighters who it said were martyred in Jenin today.

The battalions confirmed that they will continue to confront the occupation on several fronts with clashes and explosive devices within a clear strategy and well-thought-out tactics. They said, "The occupier who is deludedly trying to break the resistance in the northern West Bank will be surprised by death and the response coming from the southern and central West Bank."

The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also said that its fighters in the Jenin Battalion in Kafr Dan, west of the city, are continuing to engage in fierce clashes with the occupation forces on the combat fronts.

Channel 14 Israel revealed that a soldier was injured after being targeted by gunmen in Jenin. It also reported that a series of explosions occurred in Jenin resulting from the detonation of explosive devices, in addition to hearing the sounds of gunfire.

The correspondent said that Palestinian resistance fighters targeted an Israeli troop carrier with an explosive device in the Jabriyat area of Jenin camp, and they also targeted a house where occupation soldiers were holed up in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city, while a number of resistance fighters escaped after being targeted by occupation forces in the same neighborhood.

The occupation forces imposed a curfew on the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, prevented Palestinians from leaving their homes, launched raids and storming of homes in the eastern neighborhood, and conducted field investigations.

Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed that the occupation forces removed a number of Palestinians from their homes in Jenin, and Israeli snipers climbed onto their roofs.

It said that a force of undercover Border Guards killed militants during the operation, noting that combat and military equipment were found.

The occupation forces threatened to storm the Khalil Suleiman government hospital, which they besieged in Jenin. The hospital director told Al Jazeera that the hospital is the only one providing services in the city and is full of patients, stressing that they are suffering from a shortage of water and electricity.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also reported that the occupation forces placed earthen barriers on the roads leading to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, and closed them completely.

Israel also besieged Jenin Hospital from all sides and worked to obstruct the work of medical teams as part of the siege imposed on the hospital. In addition, Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed that the occupation forces intercepted an ambulance in Jenin camp and searched its crew.

Tubas

In Tubas, north of the West Bank, the occupation bombed the Far'a camp after storming it with an airdrop operation. Later, it sent a number of military vehicles towards the camp, which sparked armed clashes with the resistance.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that the occupation forces stormed one of its centers in the Far'a camp and detained the ambulance crews, noting that 4 citizens were killed and a number of others were injured in the Far'a camp, adding that its crews are unable to reach them as a result of the occupation forces obstructing the work of the ambulance teams.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the occupation forces arrested dozens of Palestinians in one of the buildings in Al Far'a camp, noting that the occupation snipers had climbed a number of houses in the camp.

On the other hand, Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the occupation forces opened fire randomly and intensively inside the camp's alleys.

In contrast, the Tubas Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades confirmed that its fighters are confronting the occupation on the combat fronts in the Far’a camp, especially the Beirut front.

Tulkarm

In Tulkarm, clashes erupted between the resistance and the occupation forces. The Tulkarm Battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades announced the downing of a drone in the Manshiyya axis, and the targeting of snipers in a house in the Nour Shams camp, confirming that there were injuries.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces destroyed the main water line in Nour Shams camp, and local platforms broadcast scenes documenting one of the camp’s streets being flooded with water. Al Jazeera’s correspondent said that the Israeli army has been besieging Nour Shams camp since dawn today.

For its part, Tulkarm Municipality Emergency said that the occupation aims to destroy the infrastructure in order to cut off service to the city and the camps.

Other incursions

Settlers had burned cars in various areas north and west of Hebron during the past two weeks, in an escalation that included various areas of the West Bank.

Hamas calls for mobilization

On another note, Hamas called on the Palestinian people, the resistance fighters and "the revolutionary youth in the West Bank" to mobilize and escalate all forms of resistance and confront the occupation and its settlers. It praised the heroic confrontation of the various resistance factions in the Far'a, Nour Shams and Jenin camps against the occupation forces on their outskirts.

Hamas said that the military operation launched by Israel in the occupied West Bank is an attempt to implement the plans of the "Zionist extremists" government. It added that the operation is an "expansion of the brutal war of extermination taking place in Gaza to include the cities and towns of the occupied West Bank," warning of the "criminal" intentions of the occupation army towards the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

She stressed that the occupation army's siege of hospitals in Tulkarm and Jenin is a serious violation of international and humanitarian law, and Hamas called on the international community to take urgent action to force the Israeli forces to stop targeting hospitals.

The Palestinian Authority presidency in Ramallah said that the aggression on the West Bank is a dangerous escalation and that the world must take immediate action to curb Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
