The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), broadcast footage of a complex ambush it carried out against the Israeli occupation army east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Qassam said that its elements carried out the complex ambush less than a kilometer from the dividing line with Israel in the Al-Fakhari area east of Khan Yunis.
The scenes showed various types of Israeli vehicles on fire and Qassam fighters seizing military equipment in the ambush, which was called "Renewing the Pledge and Allegiance."
Al-Qassam said that the ambush was carried out in 3 stages, and its first stage included targeting an engineering vehicle, a Merkava 4 tank, and a D9 military bulldozer.
The second phase included targeting a Merkava tank, two armored personnel carriers, two D9 bulldozers, and detonating a minefield in an engineering force, while the third phase targeted a Merkava 4 tank and two D9 military bulldozers.
A Qassam field member said that the ambush came "in revenge for the blood of the martyrs and everyone who stood with Gaza," and he specifically mentioned the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, who was assassinated by Israel on September 27.
