Al Salam Capital Bank for Islamic Microfinance opened in Marib city, the second private bank to open its main center in the governorate.
The bank was inaugurated on Wednesday, in the presence of Presidential Leadership Council member Major General Sultan Al-Arada and Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, coinciding with the celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
Leadership Council member Major General Al-Arada and the Prime Minister expressed their happiness at the opening of the bank coinciding with the people’s celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the glorious September 26 Revolution, and expressed their hope that the bank would be a qualitative addition to the banking sector in the governorate and Yemen in general, contributing to moving the wheel of development.
They stressed that the government and local authorities provide all facilities for investment capital in light of the security and stability that the governorate enjoys, the presence of state institutions and the effectiveness of judicial institutions, in addition to the promising investment opportunities it enjoys for investors, and the reflection of this on the desired development in the governorate.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Salam Bank, Ahmed Aishan, said, “The bank’s founding capital amounts to 20 billion Yemeni riyals, and it currently provides 100 job opportunities in its main office.”
He pointed out that "the bank seeks, during the next five years, to open branches in all governorates and activate more than 2,000 points of sale to cover its services throughout the Yemeni geography and provide more than 600 job opportunities in all its branches."
