The Al-Qassam Brigades, in cooperation with the Al-Quds Brigades, announced on Monday the implementation of the martyrdom operation that took place yesterday evening, Sunday, in Tel Aviv.

This came in a statement in which the battalions said that martyrdom operations inside the occupied territories will return to the forefront as long as the occupation's massacres, displacement of civilians, and the continuation of the assassination policy continue.

A senior officer in the occupation police told Israel's Channel 12 that the "Tel Aviv explosion" was an "attempt" to carry out a bombing operation.

According to Israeli media, the dead man who was carrying the explosives came from Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The occupation police officer noted that "miraculously, the explosion did not occur in a nearby synagogue or a nearby shopping center, and this event could have ended with dozens of deaths."

Cameras showed the dead man walking with the bag containing the explosives among the Israelis in southern Tel Aviv, according to Israel's Channel 12.

On Sunday evening, Israeli authorities said that one person was killed and another was injured in a truck explosion in central Tel Aviv, adding that the Shin Bet is investigating the motives of the explosion.

The Israeli army radio quoted the police as saying that the person killed in the truck explosion in Tel Aviv was carrying an explosive device on his body, and investigations are underway to determine his identity and the causes of the accident.

Channel 14 correspondent quoted a security source as saying, "An explosive belt was found around the body of the man killed in the truck explosion in Tel Aviv."
