The Yemeni army confirmed that "peace with a militia that is addicted to killing, displacement, looting and plundering, and is also addicted to absolute loyalty to the foreign sponsor, is impossible, indeed impossible itself."

He stressed that he remains committed to his conviction that achieving lasting peace in Yemen can only be achieved through sustained and focused engagement on core issues such as the economy, a nationwide ceasefire, and a comprehensive political process.
