Dozens of citizens demonstrated in Shabwa Governorate, eastern Yemen, on Thursday evening, demanding the disclosure of the fate of one of those forcibly disappeared in the prisons of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, for about a year.

Dozens of human rights and civil society organizations have called on the international sponsors of the peace talks in Yemen to include the issue of the forcibly disappeared among the priorities of the talks to end the crisis, and to form an international (temporary) investigation committee to protect the rights of victims and preserve evidence.

Adnan Al-Adini, a leader in the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party, confirmed that revealing the fate of those forcibly disappeared, most notably “Mohammed Qahtan” - a member of the Supreme Council for Reform - is the basic pillar for building confidence in any peace process.
