The lack of transparency and good governance in the Yemeni government is one of the biggest challenges facing the country, at a time when it is ravaged by complex political and economic crises. These challenges are exacerbated by the absence of a general state budget and the weakness of the oversight bodies that are supposed to ensure the stability of state institutions and the optimal allocation of their resources. The US State Department’s 2024 Financial Transparency Report shed light on this sensitive point, which has been and continues to be the subject of wide discussion in Yemeni circles, both locally and internationally.

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak stressed that completing the restoration of the state and ending the Houthi coup is an irreversible goal if the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran do not submit to a political solution.
