CNN: America received information about an Iranian plot to assassinate Trump. Tehran rejects the accusations

The two former officials agreed that the agency should have considered this building a security threat and should have been responsible for preventing anyone from accessing it.

US President Joe Biden ordered an independent investigation into how the gunman was able to take a position so close that he was able to injure Trump despite the intense security presence of the Secret Service at the election rally held on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The agency also faces investigations from Congress.

In a related context, the Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations said that claims by American officials that they have intelligence information indicating that Iran will attempt to assassinate former US President Donald Trump are “unfounded and malicious.”


This came in statements made by the mission in which it was made clear that Trump “is a criminal who ordered the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.”


She stressed the need to try Trump and hold him accountable through judicial means, explaining that Tehran “chose the legal path to achieve justice.”
