The Yemeni Football Association issued a decision to appoint a new manager for the first national team, which continues its internal camp in the city of Taiz in preparation for participating in the upcoming Gulf Cup Championship next December.
The decision issued yesterday, Tuesday, and signed by the President of the Federation, stipulated the appointment of Brother Abdulrahman Ali Al-Ansi as the director of the first national team, with the cancellation of any previous decision that conflicts with the provisions of this decision.
The decision comes one month after the appointment of Captain Adnan Taher as manager of the national team, who sports sources said had submitted his resignation following disagreements with the Federation’s Secretary-General, Hamid Al-Shaibani.
The national team is preparing to participate in the 26th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, scheduled to be held in Kuwait from December 21, 2024 to January 3, 2025.
