The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Football Association announced the postponement of the association's leadership elections to December 9.
A circular issued by the General Secretariat of the Yemeni Football Association, bearing No. (379) for the year 2024 AD, stated that the date of the association’s electoral meeting, which was scheduled to be held on November 30, 2024 AD, has been postponed to December 9, 2024 AD.
The circular attributed the reason for postponing the meeting to the failure to complete the preparation of the final financial report, which must be presented to the General Assembly at the electoral meeting, as a result of the death of the union’s financial officer, Muhammad Al-Tawil.
He pointed out that the postponement was made in coordination with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) .
According to the Football Association, the agenda of the General Assembly meeting for the elections of the Yemeni Football Association for the period (2024-2028) scheduled to be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, on December 9, 2024 AD, has been approved.
