Cardiac catheterization operations at the Heart Center in Taiz/Qatari Crescent
Qatar Red Crescent Society ( QRCS ) announced the implementation of more than 300 free cardiac catheterization operations in Taiz Governorate (southwest of Yemen).
The Qatari Crescent said, in a blog post on the X platform, on Sunday, that it has so far performed 330 free cardiac catheterizations at the Cardiovascular Center in the city of Taiz.
He added that the project, which was launched last April, seeks to perform 404 free cardiac catheterizations at the center, in partnership with Qatar Charity.
Qatar Crescent confirmed that the total cost of the project amounts to (4.1 million Qatari riyals) from donations from charitable people in Qatar.
The project targets vulnerable groups, such as internally displaced persons, low-income people, people with special needs, and the elderly.
