Pictures and videos showed scenes of the transitional forces opening fire to prevent a foot march of citizens from arriving at the parade square. The pictures and videos also showed a widespread deployment of the UAE-backed Council forces, detaining cars at the flag point and preventing their entry into Aden.
A source in the event's organizing committee confirmed that the demonstrators were able to reach the stage of the parade square after passing all the security barriers, despite the intensity of fire, the closure of roads, and the spread of armored vehicles, armored vehicles, and military crews belonging to the transitional government.

Human rights activist Hoda Al-Sarari said that confronting the demonstrations with repression and shooting by security came under prior orders from the local authority in Aden, pointing to the arrest of Walid Al-Idrissi, Badr Al-Mahouri and some media professionals.
Al-Sarari, through the “X” platform, held the local authority and the military formations deployed at the entrances to the governorate and the parade square, armed with crews and armored vehicles, responsible for any violation or suppression of civilians.
She stressed that assembly and demonstration are considered a right recognized by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Yemeni Constitution, and no authority has the right to prevent people from expressing their opinion by demanding that violators be held accountable and reveal the fate of victims of enforced disappearance. Security and local authorities must provide all protection to civilians.
