Gas tank explosion at a station in Aden
On Wednesday, one of the people injured in the explosion of a gas tank inside a station in the interim capital, Aden, died of his wounds he sustained during the incident, bringing the death toll to six.
A violent explosion rocked the interim capital, Aden, last Friday, as a result of a gas tanker exploding inside a station in Mansoura District, leaving about five dead and more than 15 injured.
Local sources explained that the injured person who died was called "Samed Ali Al-Sayyadi", and he died in Al-Nour Hospital in Aden, where he was receiving treatment from the moment the incident occurred until his death.
According to sources, the deceased was working as a supervisor at the station where the explosion occurred.
The Prime Minister had directed the oil company to review the permits issued to gas stations in Aden since 2016 following the tanker explosion.
Activists called on the competent authorities to remove gas stations located in residential neighborhoods to preserve the lives of civilians.
