Ibb.. A girl was killed, 9 others were injured, and a house was destroyed due to a gas cylinder explosion in “Al-Qafr”

A girl was killed, nine people from one family were injured, and a house was completely destroyed, as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in one of the towns of Al-Qafr District, north of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that a gas cylinder exploded yesterday, Tuesday, in the home of citizen "Rafeeq Murshid Farea Al-Maghribi" in the Rababa area, the center of Al-Qafr District, north of Ibb.

The sources added that the explosion resulted in the death of a girl named "Lina Rafiq Al-Maghribi" and the injury of her father, mother, and siblings (Shamikh, Laima, Muslim, Murshid), her uncle Riad, his son Atef, and another member of the family named "Mishaal Tawfiq Al-Maazbi."

The sources confirmed that the incident caused the complete destruction of the house, including furniture and belongings.

The incident comes at a time when the Houthi militia continues to flood local markets in the governorate and other governorates under its control with damaged cylinders, whose accidents over the past years have killed and injured dozens.
