The terrorist Houthi militia has stopped the process of filling and transporting gas from the ports of Hodeidah (western Yemen) to other governorates under its control, as a prelude to creating a supply crisis in the market and raising its prices.
Sources working in the gas transport sector told "Yemeni Youth Net" that nearly 400 gas transport trucks have been stationed in Al-Salif, north of Hodeidah, for nearly a month and a half, with the Houthi militia refusing to fill the trucks.
The sources added that the Houthi militia, which imports foreign gas instead of the local gas produced in Marib, requires truck drivers to transport gas to Hajjah and Hodeidah governorates only, and refuses to distribute it to other governorates, without explaining the reasons.
The sources stated that the Houthi militia wants to raise gas prices in other governorates, with the approach of the Prophet’s birthday event, which is the central event for the Houthis, and on which huge sums of money are spent.
The sources also confirmed that the Houthi militia also aims, through this behavior, to destroy the transportation sector outside the militia companies, and monopolize it completely, including the transportation of fuel, bulk goods, and containers.
