Unknown gunmen assassinated a tribal sheikh in one of the districts of Lahj Governorate, in the south of the country, on Monday evening.
Local sources reported that tribal gunmen came to the home of Sheikh Ali Hussein Al-Dawwi and invited him to come out to consult him on some matters, but they started shooting him.
According to the sources, the sheikh died immediately, while the gunmen fled.
The competent authorities have not issued any comment on the incident until the time of writing this news.
